I'm not really a jewellery wearer but I fancied making a simple necklace, similar to ones I've seen in all the high street shops lately.
So I went to my local bead shop and picked up some supplies. Within a few minutes, I had strung it together. You can't see them very well in the photo below but the beads at the ends are these little grooved metal tubes.
Don't worry, I don't think I'll be branching out and making jewellery to sell anytime soon - ha! But for £2.80 and few minutes of time I'm quite pleased with the result.
Supplies: 1m black waxed cord, 8 large black wooden beads, 16 medium black wooden beads, 2 silver tube beads.
